Ecosystem credits are traded as offset trading groups. Offset trading groups are groups of similar plant community types with the same threat status or threatened ecological listing.
When trading ecosystem credits, it is important to follow the appropriate Offset rules.
Using the Ecosystem Credit Trading Groups Tool
You can use this tool to:
- identify options for ecosystem credit trading under the like-for-like or variation options
- search for an offset trading group or plant community type to discover trading options.
Use the Credit trading options for proponents’ tables if you are obligated to retire credits for the purpose of land clearing or development.
Use the Credit trading options for credit holders’ tables if you currently hold ecosystem credits you would like to sell.
Follow these steps to find the information you want.
- Select the table based on your enquiry type.
- Select the plant community type you are looking for.
- Select the name of the offset trading group.
- Results will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Use the horizontal scroll bar to see all information.
- Click ‘Reset Search’ to start again.
You can skip Step 1 and go to Step 2 if you already know your offset trading group.
