Work progress
The construction of all sandstone retaining walls is now complete and the following activities are due to be completed in the coming weeks:
- reinstatement of the previous sandstone paving and the bronze map plinth
- installation of the stainless-steel balustrade along the lower retaining wall
- planting of native species in the garden beds.
Site management and access
Access to West Head Lookout and the West Head army track remain closed to visitors with West Head Road closed at the Resolute picnic area. Access to Resolute picnic area, Resolute track, Aboriginal Heritage walk, Red Hands track, West Head Beach, Resolute Beach, and Mackerel Beach remain open.
Reinstatement of the existing sandstone paving is in progress. 
The construction of the sandstone retaining walls, including the sandstone seating wall, is complete.
