Assessment reports

Conservation Assessment Reports for assessments that require the Schedules to be updated are linked to the relevant Final Determination. Other Conservation Assessment Reports where the assessment outcome does not change the Schedules are also available.

For species where an assessment by the NSW Threatened Species Scientific Committee began after August 2017, a Conservation Assessment Report using the Common Assessment Method (CAM) has been prepared.

If the outcome of the assessment results in a Final Determination to list, delist or change the threat status of species, the Conservation Assessment Report (CAR) is linked to the relevant Final Determination.

Threatened species reviews – no change

When the NSW Threatened Species Scientific Committee undertakes a review of a listed threatened species and finds that the threat status is unchanged, the Conservation Assessment Report may be found here.

Vagrant species

Vagrant species refers to occasional records of species in New South Wales that are outside their normal distribution or habitat.

The Committee considers that vagrant species should not be included in the Schedule of NSW threatened species.

Data deficient species

Species with insufficient conservation status research may also be assessed as data deficient.
